Wrongful Termination
Protecting Employee Rights and Careers |

In Illinois, most employees are "employees at will", which generally means that employers are free to terminate or demote an employee for any reason or no reason at all. Employees may be terminated for poor performance as well as other reasons. However, there are some terminations that are unlawful, including firing or demoting because of: (1) unlawful discrimination (race, sex, age, etc.) or (2) in retaliation for employee reports of safety complaints or illegal employer conduct or (3) if the employee has a contract with the employer and the employer violates the terms of the contract. We represent former employees who were wrongfully terminated because of unlawful discrimination, retaliation or in violation of their contracts or implied contracts.
If you feel you were wrongfully terminated, please feel free to call us at (312) 291-4628 or contact us online to discuss your rights or options.
