Robert Booker, Ed.D. RSBA

Dr. Booker is a mediator who specializes in accounting, auditing, business, finance, construction, employment, real estate, and education and school disputes.  Dr. Booker has served as Chief Executive Officer (Superintendent of Schools) of the Baltimore Maryland Public School System; Chief Business and Financial Officer of the Los Angeles Unified School District; Chief Financial Officer and County Auditor of the County of San Diego, California; and Chief Executive Officer of The Booker Group, LLC, a real estate investment and business and finance consulting firm.  During his 40 years of experience in business, finance and education areas, he has resolved many complex disputes in a wide variety of subjects, including labor and employment relations, public finance, financial reporting, internal and external audits, organizational structure, compensation packages, claims administration, purchasing and contracting, public and private joint ventures and government and public policy issues.  He is particularly skilled at getting to the heart of complex issues and dealing with the human factors that create obstacles to settlement.

In addition to his many years of hands on experience as the executive in charge of large and complex organizations and in resolving internal and external disputes related to these organizations, Dr. Booker has served as instructor at Pepperdine University, University of California at Los Angeles, California State University, and Los Angeles City Colleges.  He has taught the following courses:  conflict resolution, accounting principles, business management, systems analysis, budget development and administration, school finance, school law, personnel management, and leadership.

Sharon Booker-Brown, Esq.

Sharon Booker-Brown is a mediator who practices in the following areas: employment, contract, product liability, personal injury, real estate, probate and family conflicts.  She has 16 years of experience participating in the resolution of various disputes through negotiated settlements, mediations and arbitrations.  In addition to her legal experience, she was trained in mediation skills at Northwestern University and is a Certified Mediator.  She was also trained as an Arbitrator with the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and is a Certified Arbitrator.  For more information about her experiences, please visit the Attorney Profile section.
